A military community can provide a source of support through counseling and a variety of programs, but a faith community can provide prayer and support for the individual and the family as well as contributing to their ongoing spiritual well-being. This Milestone recognizes the return to family and community, and provides an opportunity to uplift this occasion with prayers and blessings.

This milestone includes the Four Keys for practicing faith outline which encourages the connection between home and congregation. A simple five-step structure is also included to intentionally invite the faith community to recognize the milestone and celebrate it together to establish a solid base for community outreach.
