Life is full of meaningful moments. Celebrating milestones helps bring an awareness of God’s presence into the home and highlights the rituals of daily life experiences.
The Beginning Confirmation Milestone is designed to address what was learned over the years by providing the opportunity for a two-part introduction to confirmation. The first part is a Cross+Generational Event for parents, guardians, their child and congregational leader(s). The second part is the follow-up where families meet with one another to reinforce the role both families and teens will have as they walk through confirmation together.
This milestone includes the Four Keys for faith practices to encourage the connection between home and congregation. A simple five-step structure is also included to intentionally invite the faith community to recognize the milestone and celebrate it together to establish a solid base for community outreach.
