and highlights the rituals of daily life experiences.
Outdoor ministry is a memorable, formative,
and vital part of a child’s faith journey. The experience of going away to camp
can renew and enhance spiritual growth. At this Milestones Ministry event, blankets can be given
as gifts to first-time campers as a special way to help them feel God’s comfort
when they are away from home.
This milestone includes the Four Keys for
faith practices to encourage the connection between home and congregation. A
simple five-step structure is also included to intentionally invite the faith
community to recognize the milestone and celebrate it together to establish a
solid base for community outreach.
