Life is full of meaningful moments. Celebrating Milestones helps bring an awareness of God’s presence into the home and includes the rituals of daily life as an event in the congregation.

The FaithChest is a container to hold cherished items representing the individual’s faith journey. For infants, it may be resources to be used in the home to nurture the faith of the child. For a young adult starting out on their own for work, college, or marriage, it may hold mementos of their early faith life to reinforce their on-going faith journey. For an elder, it may contain books, pictures and other artifacts of the faith journey to leave as a legacy of faith for family and friends.

This milestone includes the Four Keys for practicing faith outline which encourages the connection between home and congregation. A simple five-step structure is also included to intentionally invite the faith community to recognize the milestone and celebrate it together to establish a solid base for community outreach.
