Helping others in need is truly a joy to one’s life and central to the Christian faith. A mission trip to another place, whether it is across town or across the ocean, has a valuable element of service. This Mission Trip Blessing Milestone Moment will help mission trip travelers receive the blessings of those with whom they travel and those they will serve. It is an opportunity to gather with friends and family to recognize God’s presence in this moment and send them on their mission trip with a blessing.

This Milestone Moment consists of two pages that are reproducible in your local setting. It can be sent in emails or printed.
· Page 1 describes the significance of the moment and the importance of observing it.
· Page 2 provides a conversation guide* that includes talking and listening to one another, reading a verse/s from the Bible, and a prayer and blessing. It includes a food for thought question on how one might show love for one’s neighbor through an act of service.
